LSD Spring Awakening

3/19/22 LSD Spring Awakening

Windy windy day. This is the first event to really kick off the year of shooting for me. Took a little break to finish school, transition work, and spend additional time at home in Hawaii. While on a break, I was able to reflect on individual growth, as well as the growth of those around me:

Some of you are getting into cars, drifting, taking a break, making new friends (or maybe distancing from some), families, and learning new things professionally, as well as personally. We are constantly figuring things out in these turbulent times and it’s really cool to see how things turn out for each and every one of us.

Can’t wait to take more photos and share them with you all. Hope to see you at another event.

Enjoy the photos below!

@frantichouseracing - Met Jay shortly after this event through a videogame called Phasmophobia (lol) really cool guy with a cool family that he gets to share his hobbies with!

@ps13chval

Ketchup and mustard - @ocmobilealignment, @loosesocksdaisuki, @matt_vigo

Really tough time shooting in the wind. I thought I was going to blow away, so I went to hide maybe 75% of the time. Otherwise, really exciting driving, almost as chaotic as the wind at one point.

Red is a nice color.

Always cool seeing @kugelk ‘s Cressida out at these events.

IS brothers! @markyduyyy @irik_wins_again

@_s.hea brought out a different car to the event! You usually see him in his ae86, both rad cars.

@chavez_6666 always driving hard at these events.

@u_pheel_mii - Met Cesar and his girlfriend, Kata, over this weekend. He actually drove this car all the way down from NorCal with his girlfriend and toured through L.A. before and after going to Apple Valley Speedway! Very nice and friendly people.

To end things off, Apple Valley Speedway is doing a tremendous job! They graded out most of the way to the track and cleared the large rocks on the hill, making it much easier to drive on the dirt road. We can expect to see paved roads in the future.
