Jimmy Up Matsuri !
Hey there!
Sorry for the wait. Here are some photos from Jimmy Up’s (@jimmyup) annual Horse Thief Mile event (Willow Springs Raceway) held back on May 30, 2020. This event was officially the first event I had attended since the mandatory lock-down had been slightly lifted. I attended last year’s event and had a great time; it was actually my first time shooting HTM (link to that gallery: https://www.entryclub.one/blog/jimmy-up-htm).
If you have not already seen what Horse Thief Mile looks like, it is “a 1-mile (1.6 km) road course with 11 turns featuring major elevation changes, tight turns and canyon-like surroundings.” (http://www.willowspringsraceway.com/page.php?id=27)
Thank you Mikey, of Jimmy Up, for hosting a fun event! It was well organized with barely any downtime, making it easier for drivers, spectators, and media. His event is one of a kind, bringing in a variety of Pro-Am and grassroots cars. This combination makes it exciting to watch on a hilly track like Horse Thief Mile. Can’t wait to attend the next one!
